📖 📖 📖 Text (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)
_“If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.“_
🔮 TOPIC: *When the heaven is Shut...*
The heaven can be shut over a life, family, city and nations. The effect is that, there will be no rain and things will be hard and tough. The major cause of a close heaven is sin and rebellion against the commandments of God. If, God's people fails to adjust and yield to God's warnings several times, it can eventually leads to heaven being shut. It means the person/people has been blocked out of God’s sight. It's better that people block you, than your maker should block you out of His sight.
Hardship and afflictions are sometimes part of God's rod of correction for His disobedient people. Sometimes, we have to learn the hard way for us to wake up from sleep and understand that which the Lord what us to learn. He's a good Father, gracious and merciful. He will not want us to perish in ignorance. He rebukes, chastise and correct those He loves. He may decides to close the heaven, when He wants us to learn important lessons, so we can return back to Him
You should not be passive and non-challant, when you notice that the heaven is shut up against you. God expects that we humble ourselves, turn away from our wicked ways and begin to look for Him and seek His face. If, we do this and pray, He will hear us from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land. There are prayers that God doesn't hear talkless of answering them. Sin will block your line from connecting with God. Your line remains blocked, until your sins are blotted out of the way. Let's take a deep thoughts on our ways of life and return fully to our first love.
