๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ“– Text (1 John  3:11)

_"For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.“_

๐Ÿ”ฎ TOPIC: *Love One Another*

The Lord Jesus while he was on earth with the disciples, he taught them to love one another. He didn't only taught about the subject of love, but he demonstrated it while they lived together. He loved them, so dearly and would always be there to defend them against any criticism and accusations from the pharisees and the religious sect of that time. He showed a prove of this love by laying down His life for His friends. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." (John 15:13).

This was also confirmed by apostle John. _"Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."_ (1 John  3:16). We perceived the love of God through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. If, we look closely at this depth of love we will understand what it means to love. We can't love only by words of mouth. God is love and He gave us the best example of love. We can't live below the standard. If, we are still living below the standard, we ought to cry out for God's help.

The disciples heard the message of love from the beginning. They were  taught that the greatest of the commandment is love. The ten commandments was summarized into two commandments. "Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew  22:35-40)

We're living in such a day and time, when people are living for themselves alone and don't think about others. They feeled satisfied once they and their family are alright. True love is missing in the body of Christ today and many are carrying a lot of wounds in their heart. The old time believers love one another and had everything in common. If, you love you will care about the affairs of other brethren. Your kindness and gesture of love is enough to warm their heart. Love is an affection that creates a bond. Giving material things is not a proof that you love. "And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. (1 Corinthians  13:3-7).

๐Ÿ‘๐ŸพPrayer of Faith

Thank you eternal God, for the enlightenment received from your word. I ask for grace to love the brethren indeed in Jesus name. Amen!
