📖 📖 📖 Text (Song of Solomon  8:6) 

 _'Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.'_ 

  

🔮 TOPIC: *Jealousy is Cruel*

Love is powerful and it's the only antidote to jealousy. If, you are not clothe with love, jealousy will want to find expression. Nobody, deserves to be treated with jealousy. The spirit of jealousy manifest in the lives of those who are ignorant of the word of God. Jealousy is a deadly spirit that can murder destiny. It's a wrong spirit that believers must fight and overcome. 

God is kind and so loving. We have been made to be a partaker of His divine nature in Christ Jesus. Jealousy does not emanate from God. Do not permit the spirit of jealousy to manifest in your life. Love is the bond in a relationship, once it is weak the relationship cannot survive. Love is as strong as death. That's why the marital covenant of love is for better for worse. What God has joined together let no man put asunder. Jealousy can destroy a marriage. Husband can be jealous of his wife, which can leads to distrust. The scripture address this aspect in the book of numbers. 'And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:' (Numbers 5:14). 

Jealousy is the root of many problem that you see in some families today. The writer of the the Bible text above says, 'Set me as a seal upon thine heart and upon thy arms.' That is the solution to become free from the spirit of jealousy. The heart that is void of love will be filled with jealousy. The people of God are set as a seal upon God's heart that we may continually be loved. The Lord is able to transform our minds also, that we may become free from jealousy and able to love one another even as God loves us.

Blessed be your name oh Lord, I'm grateful for your grace and mercy. Oh Lord, show me mercy and renew the right spirit within me, in Jesus name. Amen!
