📖 📖 📖 TEXT (2 Samuel 17:27-29)
' _And it came to pass, when David was come to Mahanaim, that Shobi the son of Nahash of Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Machir the son of Ammiel of Lodebar, and Barzillai the Gileadite of Rogelim, Brought beds, and basons, and earthen vessels, and wheat, and barley, and flour, and parched corn, and beans, and lentiles, and parched pulse, And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David, and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said, The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.'_
🔮 TOPIC: *Timely Help*
It was a critical time in the life of David the king, as he fled away from the conspiracy of his son Absalom to dethrone him and take over as the king of Israel. David has been on a journey to hide away from Absalom and escape the evil that he might have intended to bring upon them in order to achieve his ambitious desire to become established as the king.
The servants of David fled with him without taking food, clothes and necessary stuff along. There was also no certainty of returning back to the palace, as soon as possible. It was a journey of faith and hope in God to guide their way into victory. They were mocked in their journey by shimei a Benjamite. He went along on the hill side and curse as he went, threw stones at David and cast dust but David did not take revenge, but only handed the matter to God.
In the midst of all this, as they made progress in the wilderness there was a divine and timely help by three men, which I believe were God sent to help David and his men in their journey. These three men came together with abundance of provisions of the basic needs for the people. They were very concerned that the people is hungry, weary and thirsty in the wilderness. It was a timely help. God does not forsake His own people. There's surely a timely help for those who keep trusting in Him.

Thank you Abba Father, for the timely help you have purposed for me at this crucial time. I receive divine help from above that will meet all my needs in Jesus name. Amen!
