 _'Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.  And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified. When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it. Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children. Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.'_

We cannot preach grace without digging into the source. Grace came to us with a price. Someone paid the price to make grace available unto you. Though, we do not work for it, but someone who loved us so much worked out our salvation, healing and deliverance. The work of grace was not cheap, Jesus had to sufferred and died for our sins. He bore the burden of our sins to the cross. 

He was hated for no reason, it is we that He came to the world to save that was shouting crucify him. Pilate asked what should he do with Jesus, after he was tried and there was no guilt for him to deserve death, yet the people preferred a criminal to be released other than Jesus Christ. Pilate had to wash his hands to show that he had no hands in the death of the innocent just Man. The people shouted again let His blood be upon us and our children. They do not understand what they were doing. Barabbas was eventually released and Jesus was handed over to the soldiers to be scourge and later delivered to be crucified. 

Jesus took away our pain, shame and reproach. He was severely beaten that we may be healed. Sickness does not longer have a legal standing to stay in your body. You were healed thousands of years ago by His stripes. He sufferred for your sake, so that you will not die a disgraceful death. The suffering of Christ is meant for our redemption. The salvation of your soul was packaged in His death, burial and resurrection. He willingly laid down His life to save many, though He had much power to save Himself but He chose not that He may fulfill His messianic mission. Jesus is now forever glorified and able to save anyone who believes in His name. 

👏🏾PRAYER OF FAITH

I worship you Lord, because you are my God. Thank you for all that you did for me on the cross. Grant me the grace to spread the goodnews and witness about the sacrifice that you made to save the dying world. Thank you Lord for answers, for in Jesus name I pray. Amen!
