📖 📖 📖 TEXT (Matthew 17:1-5)
_"And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him."_
🔮 TOPIC:*Transfiguration Experience*
In the previous study, we looked into ascending into God's presence. The transfiguration experience is such a great sight to behold, as the Lord took three of His disciples who are in the inner circle of relationship with Christ. This made their level of exposure to the supernatural experience with Christ different from others. It showed that, they were more committed and devoted in their love for the Master and the Lord also commit Himself much unto them.
They were brought into a high mountain apart, because there was something great and special that the Lord wants to reveal unto them. It was a transfiguration experience. There was an opening of the heavenly portal on the mountain and the Lord was literally transfigured before them. His appearance was changed, that His face shined like a sun and His cloth was white as the light. The weight of the glory was heavy and it was a great and beautiful sight to behold. Right there, the old testament prophets Moses and Elijah appeared to them and was talking with the Him.
Peter spoke out of excitement mixed with fear and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. Immediately, a bright cloud descended and enveloped them. Then, a voice was heard from the cloud affirming Jesus as God's beloved Son and instructing the disciples to obey Him. What an encounter! It was an unforgettable experience, that consolidated their faith and conviction in following the Lord.
There are encounters you will experience, as you become devoted and committed to discipleship. The Lord by the Spirit wants to take you on a long term adventure of walking in the supernatural realm by faith. It's such an experience, that will make you well grounded, unmoveable and unshakable. But, you need to ascend in the holy mountain of God for you to engage in this supernatural experience. There are spiritual depths and heights, a believer must attain to catch the glimpse of transfiguration and heavenly glory.
👏PRAYER OF FAITH
I'm grateful Lord for the great privilege to draw near to your presence. Help me dear Lord to become a faithful and devoted follower. Open my eyes to behold great and wondrous things, as I ascend daily into your presence in Jesus name. Amen! 🙏
