๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ“– TEXT (1 Corinthians 10:3-11)

' _And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.'_

๐Ÿ”ฎ TOPIC:*Don't Lust after Evil things*

The scripture emphasized that the things that happened to the israelite were for ensamples and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the end of the world are come. The israelite ate spiritual food and drink from the water that gushed out of the rock and that Rock was Christ. The Lord was with them all through their journey, the Rock followed them everywhere but they always provoke the Lord to anger with their persistent unbelief and idolatry. God was not well pleased with them, as many of them were overthrown in the wilderness.

The purpose of the documentation of their story was to make us beware and not also fall victim of lusting after evil things, as they also lusted. They were never satisfied with the things that God gave them. Always complaining and mumuring against God's servant Moses, who was appointed to lead them to the promise land. They grumbled about meat in the wilderness and the Lord rained down manna from heaven, they had no idea about that kind of food and that's why it was called manna, meaning what's this? They later also grumbled about water, when they were severely thirsty and God told Moses to touch the Rock with his staff, but he struck the Rock which cost him not to enter the promise land. He was highly frustrated in leading God's people, because of their attitudes. Always, under pressure to meet their demands.

The Lord is saying to us today, that don't become an idolater like some of them, desist from fornication to avoid the wrath of God, as it manifested in their camp and three hundred and twenty thousand fell in just one day. Don't tempt the Lord, as some of them tempted and were destroyed by serpent. He that breaks the hedge, the serpent will bite.

This is a stern warning to those of us, who live in the end times. Guard your loins and don't allow your garment to be stain. Lust is the mother of all evil. Every sin, is firstly conceived in the heart. Allow the cross to deal with every lust in your life. Don't allow it to live, mortify every deeds of the flesh.

๐Ÿ‘PRAYER OF FAITH

Thank you Lord Jesus, for the victory that you had already given on the cross over sin and every evil works of the flesh. I receive abundant grace and power to overcome lust. Lord, please help me not to lust after evil things in the world in Jesus name. Amen! ๐Ÿ™
