 _'But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.'_ (1 Peter 2:9)

🏵️ *A CHOSEN PEOPLE🏵️* 

Believers are a product of God's will. 'Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.'(John  1:13). The original intention of God for creating man in the beginning was to have a special kind of people in the earth, who He can fellowship with and make them to rule over other creatures, because they were made in God's image and likeness. But, shortly sin cut short this intending relationship and plan.

Now, fast forward to the time of redemption through the sacrifice of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Believers are called a chosen people, which means we are separated unto God, as a peculiar people. It pleases the Lord to choose a special sect of people unto Himself out of the world, through their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone, who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ are given this great privilege to be numbered among God's chosen people.

This great offer is open to everybody in the world both the Greek, Jews and the gentiles through the new covenant in the blood of Christ. But, it's only those who accept this offer by faith that eventually becomes God's chosen people. This is why it is very important to preach the gospel to every creature, so that everyone can be provided with the opportunity to make a choice. There are still many God's chosen people out there who need to hear this good news and make a choice to become a chosen people, royal priesthood, a holy nation and God's special possession to show forth His praise.

I praise your name everlasting Father. Thank you for the privilege to be one of your chosen people. Help me Lord to be able to bring many other people unto you, in Jesus name. Amen!
