_'Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?'_ (Matthew 6:26-27)
🔮 *Value of Life*
Life is a gift of God. The value or worth is not in the abundance of things, that a man possess. You cannot keep it by yourself. Anxiety cannot add a single hour to your life. Our toilings and hard work cannot sustain it. The value of life is worth more than rubies. What can a man use as an exchange for his soul?
The intention of God is to make the soul of man live forever. Life is precious! The father gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice for our redemption. So that, man will not be lost forever. The son of God paid the utmost price for our sins with His dear life. Shed His blood for the remission of our sins that we may obtain eternal life. Life has no meaning without Jesus Christ. There's more to life than the natural activities that we are busy doing in the world.
When we lose sight on the value of life, we begin to chase shadows leaving the reality of life behind. The Lord was drawing the attention of the disciples to look at the birds of the air; 'they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.' Sometimes the mind tends to deceives us, that if we don't labour enough we will not be able to feed and we get so much occupied that we don't have quality time left to spend with our maker. We failed to understand that, we are more valuable to God than the birds of the air. God is able to provide all our needs, if we will put him first in all that we do. This does not encourage laziness but it builds our trust in God.
👏PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the revelation knowledge of your word. I pray for the grace to totally depend on you and value my life by living to please you always, in Jesus name. Amen! 🙏
