_“I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”_ (Genesis 12:2-3)
🔮 *Covenant Blessings*
The Lord instructed Abraham in verse one to get out of his country and from his kindred and from his father's house unto the land, which the Lord will show him. It was as if, leaving certainty for an uncertainty. He did not know the exact place that he was going, the Lord only promised him that he will show him. It took a great faith and courage for the father of faith to shut his mind to the things, which are presently seen and see into the realm of faith, the things which are not yet seen.
The Lord gave him a covenant, which was based on his obedience to the commandment, that he received in the first verse. The covenant blessings was strongly attached to his obedience. The Lord promised to make him become a great nation and that he would be bless. 'I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.' At this stage he has not even had a hope of having a legitimate child yet, through his wife Sarah, because they were already old. The intention of God for him was great, but he had to leave his comfort zone for him to experience all this great promises.
He would be too blessed to be cursed. The covenant blessings was going to extend beyond his present generation and race. He was going to be a blessing, even to the gentile world, through his seed. Obedience paved way for covenant blessings! The covenant operates till date upon anyone who taps into this source, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The covenant blessings never cease on the life of those who patiently walk with God through obedience. The journey may be rough, but keep your eyes focused on the Lord Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. The covenant blessings are for you and the children after you.

Thank you faithful Father, for the covenant blessings and promises. I receive the grace to walk in obedience to your will, so I can enjoy all the covenant blessings in Jesus name. Amen! 🙏
