 _`And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.` (Genesis 1:26)_ 

🔀 *The Making of Man* 🔀

God chose to make man in the image and likeness of the trinity. It was a special moment when God called the attention of the trinity to the creation of man. Man was created on the sixth day, while other creatures were made before the existence of man. God's master plan was to delegate authority to man and make him to rule over other creatures. 

Man was formed firstly in the image and secondly in the likeness of God. If, you are definitely made in His image, you will reflect His likeness. You only reflect the image of the person who you resemble. A bastard cannot carry the gene of true sons. Our identity is embedded in the divine nature of the Son of the living God. He made us, we did not make ourselves. And the purpose of God for making man here on earth is to rule and dominate. Man is born to rule and reign, but not independently of God. 

The devil is definetly not happy with God’s choice to make man in His image and likeness. He works earnestly to disconnect man from God through sin, so that he will not be able to reflect the image of God's glory. Though, man fell short of this glory at the beginning through the disobedient of the first man and woman on earth, but through the obedience of one man, the second Adam in person of our Lord Jesus Christ. The glory is fully restored. 'But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.' (2 Corinthians  3:18)

Thank you Abba Father, because out of the Lord's fullness we have all received manifold grace. We pray that we will be a true reflection of whom you have made us to be, in Jesus name. Amen!
