_'Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.' (Colossians 3:9-10)_
🔀 *Avoid telling Lies* 🔀
Some people have been used to telling lies, before coming to know the Lord. Lie is one of the common character of the old self. People tell lies for self protection and defence. But, it's a temporary covering because the truth will always prevail at the long run.
Lying is rooted in the adamic nature, that's why some people are very comfortable to tell lies. It's important to be born again in order to be free from this attitude. Believers must be conscious of their new identity in Christ Jesus and do away with lying to each other.
The lifestyle of telling lies is unaceptable in the christian faith. God detest that lifestyle. Your yes should be yes and no should be no. We must mature to the level of standing for the truth. The fear of men pushes some people to tell lies. Don't fear men above your God. The things that we are sometimes afraid of are not real in the actual sense. The reality of life is doing, that which pleases the Lord.
This is a new year and the admonition is that we should take off the old self with it practices and put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.'

Thank you Lord for the validity of your word. I'm delivered from the spirit of lies and I receive the Spirit of truth, in Jesus name. Amen!
