 _“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest." (Exodus 34:21)._ 

🔀 *Rest is a Command* 🔀

We are commanded by the Lord to observe rest. Man is only permitted to labour for six days in a week and shall rest on the seventh day. Emphasis was also placed on rest during the plowing and harvest season. This shows the vitality of rest! 

The body needs rest to recuperate and regain strength. It will worn out and becomes useless, if it's denied adequate rest. Don't let your body force you to rest on the sick bed. Cultivate the habit of taking a break, when you notice that you are over stressing the body. 

There's mental rest too, give your mind adequate rest whenever you notice that you are overthinking. Avoid emotional stress, don't be control by your emotions. Rest your mind on God and His wonderful promises. Worries and anxiety doesn't solve any problems. It does not add a cubit to your life. There is time to labour and a time to rest. Don't rest while you ought to labour and don't labour while you ought to rest.

Heavenly Father, I thank you because you care for me. Please, help me to be obedient to all your commandments, in Jesus name. Amen!
