 'This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot.' (Ecclesiastes 5:18). 

🔀 *Rest After Labour is Appropriate* 🔀

Rest is sweet after labour. It's appropriate for you to relax after labour, to enjoy the fruit of your labour. This is the will of God for every man. There must be a satisfaction in your toilsome labour under the sun, during the few days of life that God has given you. 

We only have a short time here on earth, no matter how long you are given privilege to live. In Biblical Arithmetic, no one has spent a day in the sight of God. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2 Peter  3:8). The oldest man in the bible lived for about 969 years. He was only close to a thousand years, but did not reach it. 

We have to live with eternity in view. Don't put yourself under an unnecessary pressures of life. Live a life fully dependent on God. Focus on the fulfillment of your purpose and enjoy the fruit of your labour. Don't labour to die, but labour to live in order to accomplish your purpose in life and be well fulfilled. There's no maximum satisfaction in the world, real satisfaction is found in Christ. There's peace and contentment in serving the Lord.

Thank you Lord for the satisfaction derived from pleasing you, grant me the grace to live long and enjoy the fruit of my labour, in Jesus name. Amen!
