_'For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”_ (Romans 1:17)
🔀 *The Righteousness of God is Revealed* 🔀
The revelation of the righteousness of God came to light in the gospel. God's choice is that, everyone may come to the saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and obtain the righteousness that is by faith, so we can have a right standing with Him.
God is holy and righteous. There is no way we would have been able to access His presence without, the sacrifice of Jesus Christ His Son, which He offered on the cross of Calvary. The moment a sinner repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the righteousness God becomes revealed in the person.
This righteousness was first found in the life of Abraham the father of faith, but it seems the matter was concealed throughout the old testament, until the dispensation of the gospel. 'And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.' (Genesis 15:6). Righteousness was credited on the basis of faith not works. The works were finished on the cross. Christ met all the requirements of the law and fulfilled all the righteousness embedded in it, that the door of grace might open for everyone to come and receive salvation freely.

Thank you Jesus for your grace and mercy that found me, I'm grateful for the righteousness that comes by faith revealed in the gospel. I pray that, I will be established in this truth found in your word, in Jesus name. Amen!
