_"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36)_
📍 *Be Free Indeed*📍
Sometimes one can be in bondage, but think he or she is not. Jesus was speaking here to the Jews who believed in him and He started by telling them that, they would know the truth and the truth shall make them free. The sharp response of the people was that, they are Abraham seed and were never in bondage to any man.
They do not really understand what the Lord was saying, but took it literally. Jesus had to enlightened them further about what He meant. 'Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. (John 8:34).
The Son has the authority and power to set every captive free. Freedom from the dominion of sin comes from the Son of the living God. He alone can deliver you from the bondage of corruption. If, you are struggling with secret sins be open to Jesus, for He is able to bring you out of the situation. Don't deceive yourself like the Jews, who thought they were alright and don't need to be set free indeed. Jesus offers true freedom to all.
🙏PRAYER
Lord Jesus, I thank you for the precious gift of salvation. Please, set me free indeed from every bondage and captivity and make me completely whole, in Jesus name. Amen!
