At the last supper, the Lord Jesus took the cup which contains the fruit of the vine and after he had given thanks, he gave the cup to the disciples to drink. He made them understand that, it wasn't an ordinary drink but symbolically represents His blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 

Each time that we take the holy communion, it always reminds us of the precious sacrifice of Christ's blood poured out for us on the cross for the remission of sins. He paid all our debts with His blood and establish the new covenant between us and God. God's wrath towards us passes over, the moment the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed speaks. 

All things are made new by His blood of the covenant. The handwriting of ordinances that were written against us, which was contrary to us was blotted out. He took it out of the way and nailed it to the cross.(Colossians 2:14). We have victory over sins through His blood. Curses were destroyed and nullified by His blood. We are now planted and rooted in the blessing of Abraham.

Lord, I stand in awe of your great mercy. I invoke the power and authority in your blood of the covenant in my foundation to root out every evil, in Jesus name. Amen!
