David knew that His Son may find it challenging to step into the great task of building the temple for the LORD. He had to encourage him to do the work. He needs to be strong and courageous. The simple way to explain courage is when you dip the turning stick inside hot water to stir your cassava or yam flour.
The turning stick would not back out in the face of the severe condition, but will have to endure the moment in order to fulfill purpose. Imagine, if it has mouth to talk or have choice? Fear tries to kill your courage to fulfill your divine purpose in life. You have to make the choice to thrive in the face of adversity. Courage enables you to take bold step in achieving a set goal, especially when the task looks difficult and beyond your physical abilities.
It will be difficult to operate in faith, when courage is gone. Satan tries to attack the courage of believers with fear to hinder us from attempting and breaking through the realm of impossibilities. This keeps us on a spot and block us from experiencing the supernatural acts of God in our situations. Don't give room for the fear of failure in your mind, don't allow it to kill your courage.

Thank you Lord for the word that you have sent to stir up my heart. Purge my heart from fear that is targeted to kill my courage. I rise up with the understanding that, I can do all things, through Christ that strengthens me. Amen!
