_“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. (Joel 2:12-13)_

The Lord Himself is the one speaking here to His people through the Prophet Joel. The Lord is saying even now, it's not too late to return to your creator. Return with all your heart and stop deceiving yourself by playing pranks with your spiritual life. He is still waiting for your return to His loving arms. He's on the look out for your return.
Return to the Lord with fasting and weeping. The Lord is interested in your heart not in the physical display, rend your heart and not your garment. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Remember the height from which you have fallen, this was not how it started when you first believe.
'Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity.' The finger of the LORD may be responsible for the experience that you are presently going through, the Lord is compassionate and he's willing to bring you out of the situation, if only you will return to obey his voice. He will relent from sending calamities, the moment you a step to His side. The Lord is gracious and merciful.
