Moses the servant of God, instructed Aaron and his sons on the manner to bless the children of Israel, as the priest over them. This will serve as a spiritual blessing template to invoke God's blessings upon God's people. God is always willing to bless His people through His appointed priest each time they appear in His presence.
Priesthood is a great spiritual office, the priests are intermediary between God and man. They bring the people's matter to God and also God's counsel and blessing to the people. The scripture made it clear in the new testament that we are a royal priesthood. We can bring God's blessings upon people, church and nations.
The priestly blessing are strong prophetic utterance from the direct throne room. The LORD bless you alone has deep meaning. The word 'bless' in the Hebrew word is 'Barak' which means 'to kneel' (Gen. 24:11). God does the blessing. Blessing means increase, when God blesses you, His presence increases in your life. The Word blessing first surfaced in the bible, when God blessed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. The blessings of the Lord brings all round multiplication.
