_'While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. (Luke 2:6-7)_

*The Mystery of His Birth*

Joseph went from Galilee out of the city of Nazareth unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem in Judea to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with a child. Mary was already heavy at that time, but they didn't prepare that she will delivered in the course of their journey.
There wasn't any adequate preparation for the delivery in Bethlehem, they had come for a different purpose and planned to go back to the city they came from. But, right there the time came for the baby to be born and nothing could stop it. The environment could not be an hinderance, there was no room in the guest house.
The only place they could find, was the manger and the baby gently arrived. Mary gave birth to her firstborn and wrapped him in a swaddling clothes. We could see the simplicity and humility of His birth. He was born in a manger to identify with the common poor people. He's the gift of God for both the rich and the poor.
We can vividly learn humility from His birth. 'For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.' (2 Corinthians 8:9). People could not imagine that anything good can come out of Nazareth, but a great child whose parents were citizens of Nazareth was born in a manger in Bethlehem of Judea.

Father, I worship your majesty. You are too great, the mystery of thy kingdom is deep. I pray for spiritual understanding to comprehend all thy marvelous works. Help many people in this season to come to the full knowledge of the mystery of the birth of Jesus Christ, in Jesus name. Amen!
