 *Mary's Encounter with the Favour of God*

Mary was a little frightened, when she received the angelic visitation that blessed day. She was probably not only the virgin among the women at that time, but her encounter with favour single her out and she became blessed to be the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, out of all the women in her generation.

Favour is an unmerited gift. We do not earn it by human efforts, it is the gift of God but our love for God and consistency in our personal walk with God can position us for an encounter with His favour. The encounter of Mary with favour was an unforgettable experience, she was caught by surprise that day. She might not have known that was the day of her visitation and won't have prepared for it.

She found favour with God, who sees in the secret. She must have been faithful and outstanding in her walk with God and it pleases the Lord to visit her with a great prophetic promise. The angel of the Lord salute Mary with great honour in his first statement to her. 'And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. (Luke 1:28)

It’s the favour of God, that can make somebody to be relevant in God's plan and purpose. We must come to a point of an encounter with God's favour in every strata of life. It's the favour of God, that lifts a man. You can enjoy God's favour for the rest of your life. The favour of God can turn around every difficulties in our lives. You might not know, that you are highly favored until you discover it, through an encounter and see the manifestation.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for I know that you loved me. I pray for a definite encounter with Your favour in this particular area of my life before the year ends, in Jesus name. Amen!
