_"And the covenant that I have made with you ye shall not forget; neither shall ye fear other gods. But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies."_ ( 2 Kings 17:38-39)

 *Remembering God's Covenant*

◾◾◾◾◾◾

God made covenant with His people and do not want them to forget. Covenant is a mutual deal between two or more parties and each individual is expected to keep their respective part of the deal. We are to be responsible for doing our own part in keeping the covenant between us and God.

There are conditions attached to covenant. 'With whom the LORD had made a covenant, and charged them, saying, Ye shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them: But the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt with great power and a stretched out arm, him shall ye fear, and him shall ye worship, and to him shall ye do sacrifice.(2 Kings 17:35-36)

The Lord surely keeps His covenant, but we as His people also should not fail in our responsibility to keep His covenant and not do things that are contrary to the covenant, which the Lord has established with us.

In the new testament, at the last super. The Lord Jesus told the disciples to do the same in remembrance of Him. You are remembering the covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ, eachtime you take the holy communion. The covenant speaks on your behalf and defend you at all times. 'He shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.'

🙏PRAYER

Thank you Abba Father for the covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ. I remember your covenant and I pray that it shall speak for me, my family, the church and nation in Jesus name. Amen!
