 _'Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king's chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.'_ (Esther 2:15)

 *Obtaining Grace and Favour*

The appointment of Esther in the stead of Vashti, as the queen in a foreign land was beyond just her beauty. The secret was that, she obtained grace and favour. It was favour that worked it out, because in the first place she wasn't entitled to the position due to the particular tribe she belong. 

When it came to her turn to appear before the king, she had confidence in nothingelse, but the God of the Jews. She required nothing extra, except that which Hegai the keeper of the women appointed. She had already found favour, before Hegai and he desired that Esther should be the queen. 

It’s not only that, Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. It was extraordinary, because an anointing of favour was so strong upon her to ensure her emergence as the chosen queen. 'And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.' (Esther 2:17).

I give praise to you Lord for the wonder of your word. I pray and ask for the grace and favour to make a difference in my generation. Grant me an uncommon grace and favour in every areas of my life, in Jesus name. Amen!
