Sometimes you feel bad, when you are maltreated for doing the right thing. In some cases, the society where will find ourselves do not tolerate the truth and righteousness, especially in the atmosphere where there is so much darkness. One can be in trouble for being honest.

We could understand through the scripture, that we can suffer for what is right. Nevertheless, there is a great blessing in suffering for what is right. Some tries to avoid the suffering, so they compromise to cover up and protect their lives and jobs. Hence, they miss out in the real blessing of suffering for the sake of righteousness.

The threats are to intimidate you in order to make a wrong decision. Be calm and stable, fixing your eyes on the Lord and take a stand for what is right with the readiness to face the consequences of your choice. Do not fear their threats, because as long as the Lord lives, He will preserve your life from the fiery furnace.

In the face of the reality of the king's verdict concerning the three Hebrew men, who will not bow to the golden image. They were not willing to negotiate the matter with the king. "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.(Daniel  3:16-18). They set their faces like a flint and were not ashamed. Though, they were put in the fiery furnace, they were not burn, because the Lord was with them.

I give thanks to God for showing me the path of life and truth. Help me Lord, to be full of faith and not fear their threats, in Jesus name. Amen!
