_"But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:6-7)._

*Resisting the Devil*

The devil often check on believers in order to find space to carryout his operation. We must always be on our guard to repel his works. 'What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?' (Romans 8:31). We have to be on the Lord side for us to be on the winning side.
The LORD only gives more grace to the humble. 'It's not by power nor by might', but by the Spirit of grace. Grace gives you edge over the devil and his works. It's God's grace that can enables us to defeat Satan. A proud person cannot obtain grace, and would not be able to resist the devil. Grace positions you in the place of authority above all principalities and powers.
Submission to God precedes excercing your God given authority and dominion over Satan's power. Humility is not a weakness, but the strength of believers in Christ Jesus. 'In the cross of Jesus be my glory ever.' You daily develop resistance to the devil, when you abide in Christ and His word abides in you.
There will not be a legal ground for the devil to stay in your life, he will flee when you give him no room or chance in your life. Submission to God means that you submit to His rules and principles to guide your life, total obedience and compliance to His will. This can only be possible, when you humble yourself and allow God to be in control of your life.

Dear Lord, I'm thankful for the power of your grace. I surrender my life to you Lord, help me to daily walk in victory, in Jesus name. Amen!
