 *Honour the LORD with Your Substance*

All the good things of life, that a man thinks he possess comes from above. "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James  1:17). You only earn the substance, but you don't own it. No man brought anything into this world, therefore you aren't permitted to take anything away from it. The wealth acquired in this world will be left behind someday.

The above understanding should cause a shift in the way we think and reposition our mind set to honour the LORD that owns everything with our substance. If we do so, it will provide a steady means to the abundance of God's blessings, which can never run dry.

Many times people are afraid of shortage, when they give out of their substance. You can't honour God with your substance and ever regret it. The widow in the temple gave all that she had in the offering box, while others gave from the abundance of what they have and their giving couldn't match the poor widow two mite which makes a farthing(Mark 12:42). 

She honored the Lord with that which she had. She first referred God with the little she had, not minding her needs first. The Lord doesn't look at the quantity, but the position of our hearts in giving. Give cheerfully, not grudgingly.

🙏PRAYER 🙏

Heavenly Father, I thank you because you are the God of all grace. I do not want to be tired of giving, help me to daily honour You with my substance, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!!!
