Joshua 24:15

 _"But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”_

Serving the Lord is by choice. Freedom of choice is a God given human right, but your freedom of choices are not without consequences. The Lord will not force Himself on anyone. He has given, each and everyone the power of choice. It's only those who are willing to open the door of their hearts, that can receive the Lord into their lives, while He stands at the door knocking.

Joshua placed a blunt options, before the children of Israel, if serving the LORD is undesirable to them. He made the people to understand, that they are free to make the choice of whom they will serve, may be the gods that their ancestors served beyond the river Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites. It's impossible to serve two Masters! 

There's just one and only true God. The other gods are the works of men. Joshua had his own choice to make. He resolved that, he and his household will serve the LORD, irrespective of the choices of the other people. You also have to make the choice of whom you will serve. If, you don't choose to serve the living God, be assured that it's something lesser and ridiculous that are the other options. Make the right choice!

I honour you glorious God. I choose you above every other gods. It's you alone, that I will serve throughout all the days of my life, in Jesus name. Amen!
