 *Understanding the Manner of the Spirit*

Believers must keep the Spirit within in check and ensure that we live according to the manner and dynamics of the Spirit that the Lord has given to us. We must understand the manner of the Spirit received and allow it to shape our lives, through the renewal of the mind.

When the time come for the Lord Jesus Christ to be received up, He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem, and sent  messengers ahead of him and they went and entered the village of the samaritans to make ready the place for Him, but they did not receive Him. "And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.'

A believer should not allow the spirit of fear and timidity to dominate and hinder us from moving forward, because it is not the manner of the Spirit received. The Spirit God gives us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Thank you Father, for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit to have an experience of heaven on earth. I pray for steadfastness in walking according to the manner and dynamics of the Spirit, in Jesus name. Amen!
