Mark 14:61-62

 _61 But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” 62 “I am,” said Jesus. “And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”_

It was difficult for many of the Jewish people to accept Jesus Christ, as the Messiah. They knew that the Messiah is coming to restore the kingdom to Israel. But, the Messiah didn't come the way they might have expected him, they were too familiar with his natural birth and family background.

The Lord Jesus Christ went through six 'sham' trials before His crucifixion, three before the Jewish people and three before the Romans. They had contention with him over three things which are, accepting him as King, as the Son of God, and as the Messiah i.e the Savior.  

At some points, Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. He knew that, if He tell them the truth about who He is, they won't yet believe. Now, when the high priest asked Him again. “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, I am!

He then affirmed by saying, "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.” The Jews has sought to kill Jesus on the basis that, He is said to be the Son of God. They saw it as blasphemy, but that is truly who He is but they refused to accept out of Jealousy. 

They had no tangible witness against Jesus Christ for Him to have deserve death. Their witnesses didn't agree, but it was for our transgressions that He was bruised. He had no sin, yet took our punishment upon Himself. He died to save the life of many.

Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for choosing to die for my sin. I receive grace to spread the good news about the salvation, that you have brought to all men, in Jesus name. Amen!
