2 Corinthians  4:6

 _"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.  4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."_

 *Treasure in Earthen Vessels*

The light of God in the heart of believers is a great treasure. God has shined in our hearts in the same way he commanded light to shine out of darkness in the beginning of creation. The light that shined in your heart is an uncommon treasure found in an earthen vessels.

It is a great priviledge to host this glorious light in an earthen weak vessels. We are made to understand that this was done, 'that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.' The light has it source from the power of God. It is a supernatural display of God's glory and splendor. It is that God might be glorified in and through an earthen vessels. 

The treasure that shined in our hearts gives the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. The treasure though hidden inside, reflects on the outside to light the world. Christians emmit the rays of God's light on the dark world. You're God's special agent of light. Carry this treasure everywhere and make a difference. "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." (Matthew  5:14).

I'm grateful Lord for this treasure in an earthen vessels. I pray that it shall not be taken away from me, that I may use it for your glory, in Jesus name. Amen!!!
