2 Chronicles  7:14

_"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."_

 *The Key Principle of Prayer*

It is only a proud person who doesn't pray, and if at all such person prays it is with an arrogant heart, which cannot be heard or answered by God. Humility is a key principle of prayer. We must humble ourselves, if we must touch God's heart in prayer.

Humility is a state of total dependency on God to pray and seek His face. The Lord Jesus Christ gave a parable of two men who went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a publican. "The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (Luke  18:11-14).

The publican touch God's heart in prayer by applying the key principle of prayer and He went down to his house more justified rather than the other. You might see some people today blasting in tongues in a prayer meeting, but might be shock that the prayers is going nowhere. It is not going beyond the ceiling. It might just be a noise, if the key principle of prayer is not applied. God has personal dealings with every individual heart. Men looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the intent of every man's heart. Humility in prayer will enable us to hear God speak, rather than only saying our hearts to Him. Prayer is a dialogue not a monologue.

🙏PRAYER 🙏

I appreciate you Father, for always teaching and guiding me on the right principle to approach your presence. I long to always touch your heart in prayer, help me Lord in Jesus name. Amen!!!
