*SELFISH AMBITION*
◾◾◾◾◾◾◾◾
The pursuit of many today in the world is out of selfish ambition and vain glory, not in the interest of others. Even, the so called christians are now so much engrossed with activities which leads to strife and vain glory. It is quite unfortunate that many are already receiving their rewards with the applaud of men, through their eyes service and self promotion.
It is a very dangerous thing to nurture and follow after selfish ambitions. Selfish ambitions leads to self glorification. It doesn't glorify God and has no record before God for a glorious reward. The kingdom pattern of leadership is service. We must be able to serve one another with love. A disciple is not greater than His master. If the Lord Jesus Christ Himself came to the world to serve, how much more we that claim His lordship over us?
We were instructed to do nothing without strife or vainglory. We shouldn't bring the worldly pattern of self promotion into the kingdom lifestyle. We should value others better than ourselves in humility. There's no spiritual promotion without required level of humility. You don't only mind your own business in Christendom, but 'every man on the things of others.' We all need each other to accomplish purpose and bring the beautiful pictures of our dream to reality.

Lord, I give you thanks for your word is life and truth. I ask for wisdom to apply this word appropriately. Help my heart to cease from following after my own interests only and begin to seek to do your will and be concerned about the interest of others, in Jesus name. Amen!
