Ephesians 3:16
_"That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 3:18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 3:19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen._

*Prevailing Intercessory Prayer*

The above verses are the account of apostle Paul's prevailing intercession for the Ephesian church. It was his custom to intercedes for the churches he planted during his missionary trips to several places, before he was put in prison. He spent most of the rest of his life time to write epistles to those churches and also laboured in praying for them.
He prayed that the Lord would grant believers in Ephesus to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in their inner man according to the riches of his glory. What a powerful intercession!!! Every believer needs strength in the inner man to remain in the faith, because persecution will arise to test the faith and seek to knock people out of the faith. He prayed further, 'That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.'
Prevailing intercession is such a prayer filled with power. It is all about praying the will of God for others. Every Christian should engage in prevailing intercession for one another and for those who are yet unsaved. Our God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power at work in us. Prevailing intercession is one of the key purpose of the baptism of power. The power of God become activated to wrought wonders, when we gear up prayer in prevailing intercession and the glory belongs to God in the church by Christ Jesus.

Father, I thank you for the great privilege to stand in the gap for others. Stir up your Spirit in my inner man to be steadfast in prevailing intercession for my family, friends, church, and nation, in Jesus name. Amen!!!
