Isaiah 7:14
_'Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.'_
*#The Lord has Given You a Sign*
The children of Israel asked God for a sign during the days of prophet Isaiah and he told them that the Lord himself shall give them a sign. It might surprised everyone, that which the prophet said shall be a sign. 'Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.'
The sign was Immanuel which means 'God with us.' The Lord offered His presence, as a sign to His people. This is greatly marvelous in our sight. 'The Word became flesh and dwell among us.' He took upon Himself the nature of flesh to redeem man back to the original ordained purpose of God.
In the very days of Jesus Christ on the earth, the scribes and Pharisees seeks a sign when the sign had already manifested and awaiting the fulfillment of prophecy. The Lord was blunt at answering them. 'But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:' (Matt. 12:39)
The sign that the Lord was referring to here was the sign of His death and resurrection on the third day in similarity to the period prophet Jonah spent in the belly of the fish for three days, which thereafter the preaching of the prophet led to the repentance of whole city of Nineveh. Immanuel is the sign that the Lord has given you, He is the hope of the world and whosoever that shall look up unto Him shall live.

I worship you Father for the sign of your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your presence all the time. I pray that I keep my focus on the sign that you have given and not be distracted by any other circumstances of life, in Jesus name. Amen!
