2 Peter  3:10 

 _'But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.'_ 

 *#The Day of the Lord will come as a Thief in the Night * 

How many people today are really getting prepared for the great day of the Lord? We get too busy with many activities that ends in vanity, without spending quality time in fellowship with the Lord to be able to prepare us ahead of that glorious day and not be caught unaware. 

The distractions in this present time are many. There is but one thing needful which must not be lacking in the life of a believer; spending time at the feet of the Lord to learn of Him and grab revelation knowledge to navigate through difficult times. 'But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.' (Luke  10:42)

The day of the Lord will come as a shock to many, it will be such a time when people are least expected, as a thief in the night. The owner of a house doesn't receive prior notification of the visitation of thieves. It's always a surprise shocking visit that brings terrible fear, because they were unexpected and unforseen of coming to visit in the night hours, when everyone has slept off. 

Don't live just for this world, live with eternity in view. The scriptures says, even the present heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, how much more the earth and everything in it. It shall be burned up! Be always ready and prepared for the day of the Lord. Don't be deceived, the Lord is coming back again. Look forward to meet him up the sky at the sound of the trumpet!

Blessed Saviour and Lord, I thank you. I ask for grace to press on in my daily walk with You. Keep me in the bossom of your love and grant me sufficient grace to be found faithful at the end. Amen!
