Genesis 22:16
_"And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice._
*#Obedience Births Divine Promises*
The LORD God almighty sworn by Himself to Abraham. There was nothing greater by which the Lord could sworn to affirm the divine promises that He promised Abraham, because of his response of faith in obedience to the voice of the LORD.
He didn't withheld his only son, which he has long waited for till the very old age. The level and the extent of the obedience of father Abraham impressed God so much and He gave him an everlasting promises binding with an oath.
As at today, we could see all the divine promises of God concerning Abraham and His seed coming to pass. The Lord has greatly blessed Him and multiplied his seed as the stars of the heaven and as the sand of the sea shore. The greatest of the promises was that, 'in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.'
There was an extension of the blessing to all other nations, because of the obedience of just an individual. And Truly, in his seed in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ, all the families of the earth are being blessed. There are great promises of God for everyone that follows the Lord with prompt obedience. Obedience brings forth divine promises into manifestation.
