Psalms 100:4
'Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 100:5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.'
*#Be Thankful unto God*
Thankful simply means to be full of thanks. Your 'tank' must be full of thanks from which you always draw, as you approach the gates of God's presence. Thanksgiving gives you easy access to the throne of grace to receive something much more from the Lord.
We are to enter into His courts with praise. There are things that you say to God in the language of praise and get quick answer. God understands whatever you praise Him for, especially if He's yet to do it. We should praise Him first on the basis of His personality and not really, because of what we want to get from Him.
What the Lord has done in the past is much greater in measure than what He is yet to do. If, he has done it before, He will yet do it again and even greater things. The antecedents of God's character are strong witnesses to the exceeding greatness of His power and glory.
The scripture established the truth that the Lord is good. Certainly, He will not be bad in your own turn, because of the consistency and immutability nature of the word of God. '...His mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.' There are enough reasons to always be thankful unto Him.
