Genesis  41:33

_"Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.  41:34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.  41:35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.  41:36 And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine."_

 *#A Man Discreet and Wise*

Pharaoh had a dream and couldn't find any among the wise men in the land of Egypt to interpret the dream, but he got to know Joseph, through the recommendation of the chief Butler whom Joseph has helped with the interpretation of his dream, while he was in the prison with him. He was restored back to his office, according to the interpretation that Joseph delivered.

Joseph didn't only interpret the dream to Pharaoh, but also prescribed the solution to avert the seven years of famine, which would follow after the seven plenteous years. The discretion and wisdom that Pharaoh saw in Joseph put him in vantage position to become the chief commander over the whole land of Egypt, which was a foreign land; for he was an Hebrew.

Pharaoh wasn't going to look for anyone else to be in-charge. This was a prisoner that was just called out of the prison to attend to the king, but that doesn't matter to Pharaoh. There was such a wisdom, that this man Joseph dished out to the king, which he believed couldn't be found anywhere else. The status of Joseph changed with immediate effect. He received a high rank appointment right there and the whole story of his life changed.

Unpleasant circumstances of life cannot hinder a man with discretion and wisdom. They will surely make a room for him someday. Joseph didn't lose his identity despite all that he went through in life. He kept his savour and knows that he has a future. I believe that his thinking in the prison would be different from other prisoners. He was a prisoner, not because of any crime that he committed, but it was for a purpose. We have to be a man discreet and wise to provide the solution that our generation needs. 'Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:' (Proverbs  2:11)

#God bless you!
