Matthew  19:24 

 _And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.  19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?  19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible._ 

 *#All Things are Possible with God* 

The road to heaven is not an easy road. It's a narrow path and it's only few that finds it, according to the scripture. Broad is the way that leads to destruction and many are trooping on the road daily. 

Jesus drew the attention of his disciples to the truth about rich man entering into the kingdom of God. The eye of a needle is a very narrow entrance in Israel(Jerusalem) difficult for a Camel to go through. Jesus then said, it is easier for a Camel to go through that narrow path, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 

The disciples marveled at the saying of the master and asked who then can be saved? They were not only considering the fact that, it was the rich man that the Lord was talking about, but saw that the standard is high for everyone that seeks to make heaven. 

I love the response of the master. It's shows that the ability to meet the requirements to enter the kingdom of God is impossible with men. It is only possible with God through grace. The scripture passage is not automatically writing off rich people for the kingdom of God, as some do interprete. It is possible with God for as many rich people to enter into the kingdom of God, but humanly speaking, it is not easy. 

The rich man would have to stoop low I.e humble in heart to receive the kingdom of God in his heart like a child. "Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.' (Matt. 5:3). They have to acknowledge their spiritual bankruptcy and see a need for a saviour and be willing to forsake all, whatsoever that the master demands of them. It's possible through the abundant grace of God, but the individual have a choice to make.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for the gift of salvation. I pray that you will help me in the spiritual journey to heaven. May the things of this world, not take away your everlasting kingdom away from me, in Jesus name. Amen!
