Romans 1:17
_"For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 1:19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them."_
*#The Righteous Will Live by Faith.*
The righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel, which is the righteousness that is by faith not by work from first to last. It's from one phase of faith to another, a life of dependency on God. Man lost mutual relationship and fellowship with God in the Garden, because of the fall to the trick of the old serpent, which made them to become independent on God, who put them in the beautiful garden. They ignored the instruction given them not to eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden and neither shall they touch it, lest they die. (Gen. 3:3)
They disobeyed and their eyes indeed became opened, as they were deceitfully told by the serpent and the first consciousness they gained was that they were naked and began to make provision for themselves I.e to cover themselves with fig leaves and hide from the presence of God.
Fear became activated and faith was lost. That is exactly what happens when man shift focus from depending God. You begin to see how helpless you are, whenever you try to be independent on God. There is a shekinah glory that covers your nakedness, when your faith is put in God. "For the scriptures says, whosoever believes on Him, shall not be ashamed."(Rom. 10:11)
God asked Adam, who told you that you were naked? (Vs. 11). God knew they must have done what he commanded them not to do. That, was the beginning of the struggle of man. God placed a curse on the serpent, the man and the woman. Man was now to eat bread in the sweat of his face. But, man was with the hope of redemption because God has said, he will put enmity between the serpent and the woman and it seed and her seed, the seed of the woman shall bruise the head of the serpent and it shall bruise his heal. (Gen. 3:15).
Now, the redeemed just through the gospel shall live by faith, as it is written. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. (1John 5:4). It's not a weakness to live by faith. Faith works and it's real.
