3 John  1:11 

 _"Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God."_ 

 *#Imitate that which is Good.* 

Imitate simply means to follow a pattern or a model. And, as Christians who have had a definite encounter with God, we are to be a follower of what is good not what is evil. For, we have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated to the kingdom of God's dear Son, (Col. 1:13) which is of light and good. 

You don't longer have obligations to follow what is evil, since you have come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Walk daily, as children of light and cast off the works of darkness, for the night is far spent and the day of the Lord is near. (Rom. 13:12). 

Jesus is the perfect model I.e image and pattern of goodness that we can conform into; He does no wrong. He went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him.(Acts 10:38). In as much, God's presence is also with us, we ought to do what is good only, to the glory of God. 

It is Jesus that you have, who produces good things out of your life, without Him you can't do anything good. Anyone, that still does evil, have not seen God. The person is still in darkness and need help to see the glorious light of the gospel. Don't be conformed to the image of the world, but be you transformed by the renewal of your mind. (Rom. 12:2). Imitate that which is good not what is evil.

Thank you Lord for your word that I have received this day. Help me to be a follower of what is good all the days of my life, in Jesus name. Amen!
