2 Corinthians 4:15
_"For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."_
*#Our Light and Momentary Troubles*
The scripture made it clear, that our light affliction which is but for a moment I.e it doesn't last. It is not permanent, though it normally look as if it will be like that forever. Our minds must be renewed by this understanding, that it is but for a moment. No matter how long it seems in our eyes, the truth of the scriptures is valid. It becomes over, once the purpose for which we are experiencing it is achieved.
Our light and momentary troubles is 'working for us a far more exceeding eternal weight of glory.' The present sufferings cannot be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us. Hold on to faith, and fix your eyes on things above. The momentary troubles is seeking for your attention in order to distract and deprive you of the eternal weight of glory.
Apostle Paul said, 'while we look not at things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.' Our light affliction is temporal. It is light, because the Lord will not make it beyond what we can bear and even in the midst of it, He will make a way out. Don't be knocked down by the momentary troubles, look beyond it. Fix your eyes on the eternal joy and glory that shall be revealed in you.
#God bless you!
#PRAYER
I thank you Lord for your mercies over my life. I have realised that the light affliction is but for a moment. I cling to the hope that is in Christ Jesus my Lord. Make a way out for me, in Jesus name. Amen!
