Joel 2:28
_And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit._
*#The Season of the Outpouring of the Spirit*
Prophet Joel, prophesied about a particular season that God appointed to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. The outpouring of the Spirit was a divine promise. Once in a while, the Spirit comes upon certain men in the Old Testament, especially when they wanted to prophesy and leave once His done with them, but He has come to stay upon men and brethren in the new testament. Hallelujah!
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is an agenda of God in the last days for a great move of God on the surface of the earth. The Holy Spirit is an agency of Revival. 'But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.' (Romans 8:11)
It is God's Spirit that makes a soul alive unto Him, the body is as though dead without the presence of the Holy Spirit. The quickening of the Spirit is what brings revival into the life of a person. The Spirit is your spiritual link with heaven to connect and hear God clearly. A born again Christian is prophetic in nature, because of the presence of the Spirit of God in the individual life. Once the Spirit comes upon you, the prophetic is activated.
There are categories of the prophetic which are prophecy, dreams, and visions. Every, particular age group fall into a category under the prophetic, because the decision of God was to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh. There is no discrimination at all, even your handmaids are not left out. If, you have a prayer altar in your house, the Spirit can come upon anyone suddenly. We are in the season of the outpouring of the Spirit already. Open up the channels of your Spirit and be filled up to the brim.
