Matthew  6:9
_After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.  6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen._

*#The Manner of the Lord's Prayer*

The Lord taught his disciples to pray according to the above format. He gave them a template, in which order their prayer request should follow. They were expected to keep this manner of prayer anytime possible in their time of prayer.

Some today's believers prayers are not after the manner of the Lord's prayer. The larger percentage of their prayer requests are self centered. Prayer is not only a means to meet your personal needs. You are called to prayer for the expansion of His Kingdom in the earth.

God's Kingdom should be your first priority in prayer. Before, you approach God in prayers, He already knows your basic needs. Your requests in those area of needs are just a reminder, because naturally he cares for all His children.

There are kinds of prayer you pray, which are eternal investment in the Kingdom of God. The prayers are long lasting, kept in the treasury of heaven for the appointed time of recompense.

The correct manner of prayer should begin with worship. The psalmist said, 'I will enter into His gate with Thanksgiving in my heart and into His court with praise.' You hallow the name of God in your heart, as you begin to pray. The gates of heaven are open unto you in the midst of worship for you to offer your requests at the very throne of grace. It is a sweet smelling savour unto God. Your worship speaks volumes, than any other requests you have. Merely, quality worship can get your other requests answered with speed, without even opening your mouth to ask.

Prayer points regarding the establishment of the Kingdom of God is the next in line after worship. Let is will supersedes your will in prayer. This is where intercessory prayers comes in.

_"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;" (1 Timothy  2:1)_

Thereafter, you can now ask for your daily needs and plead for his forgiveness for your sins which can hinder your prayer. It is then important to ask him to shield you from falling into temptation and deliver you from evil, because each day have it own evil. Your prayer also, should be concluded with praise and Thanksgiving to the Almighty God. Declare, the majesty of his Kingdom, power, and glory, which is forever. Amen!
