Acts 4:31
_And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. 4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common._
*#The Effectiveness of Prayer to Keep the Spirit Filled Life*
There was a great shift in the prayer life of the disciples, after the baptism of the Holy Ghost. They prayed vigorously to the extent that the place of prayer, where they were assembled together was shaken. Absolutely, it couldn't have been just the volume of their voices that shook the building, but the power released by the Holy Ghost in the place of prayer.
The result of their prayer was that, they were more filled with the Holy Ghost and could speak the word of God with boldness. A one time filling of the Holy Ghost is not enough. You have to keep fanning the fire to flame, through a consistent 'fireful' prayers.
You can't be truly baptized in the Holy Ghost and your prayer life remain the same. There is a force of prayer, that will be bubbling in your Spirit with fresh burden to pray. It will drives you to pray, even sometimes when you have not planned to pray. Don't be surprised, when you just find yourself speaking in tongues while driving or while doing house chores.
Prayer builds up your spiritual life, you can't but pray as a Christian. The Spirit that we were given is a Spirit of prayer and supplication. If you are baptized in the Spirit and you don't pray regularly, you're bottling up the spiritual 'dynamite' inside of you. Give the Spirit an expression by opening your mouth wide to pray always and you will become more filled with the Holy Ghost for a greater dimension of exploits. It then, becomes easy to dwell together in unity when the whole people of God are filled with the Holy Ghost, and nothing in our possession will be difficult to release for our fellow brethren in Christ.
