 _Nehemiah  1:4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,  1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:_

The Almighty God is not a covenant breaker. He keeps covenant and mercy for the generation of those who loves him and keeps his commandments.

His covenant and mercy cannot fail for them who are in love with him and obedient to his will and counsel. God's intention is not to waste your life and destiny when he beckon on you to come near unto him. There is an everlasting covenant He wants to establish with you in your long lasting relationship with him. He will not send you away empty handed from His presence.

Our Fathers of faith sought God diligently and they found him and he never disappointed them.  He kept his covenant and mercy for them and the generation after them. If there is something so marvelous that the children of Israel has enjoyed so much; it is God's covenant and mercy. The same is for believers in Christ Jesus to enjoy. The promises that we have received in His word cannot fail.

The living God keeps covenant and mercy for His lovers. Are you in love with God? Are you not ashamed to identify with Christ in all things? Are you excited about your faith in God? He is not the God of the dead but of the living. You have heard the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Walk with God, so that you can enjoy His covenant and mercy.

Father, you are a covenant keeping God. Open my eyes of understanding to a deeper fellowship with you everyday of my life, in Jesus name. Amen!
