Matthew 20:18
_"Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 20:19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again."_
*#Revelation Provides Hope*
The series of events, that happened to our Lord Jesus Christ in fulfilment of the will and purpose of God, never caught him unaware. It was already revealed unto him by the Father, even before the reality of the events dawn on him.
As they approached Jerusalem, he called his disciples aside and shared the revelation of the events that would soon take place with them, that they might not also be in the dark as the reality began to unfold. He summarized the story from beginning to the end, so they might have hope when the situation is hitting up and looking hopeless.
Jesus narrated to the disciples, all the terrible things that must happened to him, and lastly round it up with a good news. '...and the third day he shall rise again.' Glory to God! The disciples were expected to hold on to that hope, inspite of any other scenes that would take place. That was the 'redemptive message' of the story!
Despite, the fact that Jesus knew all that must took place from A-Z, yet he didn't hesitate to agonize in prayer. The burden was too strong for the flesh to bear. He wished, in the prayer session 'that the cup be taking away' but seek that the will of God should prevail in the situation. An Angel came to strengthen him for the task after he had prayed!
Revelation provides hope, whatever you don't understand, ask God to reveal it to you. There is hope to correct bad situations, when God revealed them ahead. Believers need to be spiritually sensitive, for we are not children of darkness but of light!

Father, open my eyes of understanding, that I may see into the realm of the Spirit. Give me spiritual understanding and help me walk always in the light, in Jesus name. Amen!
