Colossians 2:6-7
6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live
your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
*#Continuous Life in Christ Jesus*
The moment you received Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, he gives you a new life which is not fashioned after the manner of your old life. You have to gradually shift your focus from your old nature to the new everlasting life that you have received in Christ Jesus.
The old life will still make demands, after the new has come but you simply no longer obey the dictates of the flesh, which is your old nature. You have no obligation to follow after the old man because it has been crucified with Christ. (Gal. 2:20)
You have to continue living your new life in Christ Jesus. Taking root downward by meditating everyday on the word of God. It is the word of God and consistent personal prayer altar, that can build you up in Him, so that you will not fall away when trouble knocks at the door. Your faith becomes strengthened, when you are properly taught the word of God, then also your heart overflows with thankfulness when the mystery of your identity in Christ Jesus unfolds, through the revelation knowledge of the living word.
