_For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?_
*#The Identity of an Overcomer*
The scripture reckoned that 'whatsoever is born of God overcomes the world.' Therefore, the way to live an overcoming life is to be born of God through faith. Whosoever, is born of God carries an identity of overcomers. Victory lies ahead for them always. They are undefeatable by the world. Your victory was made possible, because the world is already defeated on the cross of Calvary. (John 16:33)
The born again Christian has a new identity and walks in the victorious power of Christ. Your common faith in Christ Jesus, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, makes you an overcomer. It position you in the place of victory in Christ Jesus, over the world system.
Your faith is precious in the sight of God. It is the recipe for your victory. You have to fight the good fight of faith to maintain a daily victory. The victory that overcomes the world is our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Your new life in Christ is branded with victory over sin, self, the world, and Satan.
The identity of overcomer is that, they are born of God by faith. The revelation of your identity in Christ Jesus begins to unfold, as you walk daily with Christ in obedience to his commandments.
